Reverse description The crowned Swedish royal coat of arms, quartered and flanked by two rampant lions serving as supporters, occupies the central field. The shield is surmounted by a large royal crown and displays the complex heraldic divisions of the Swedish realm. The mint mark initials 'S.T.' appear in the lower field to either side of the date 1873, with the denomination '1 RD. RIKSM.' inscribed along the lower arc. The legend BRÖDRAFOLKENS VÄL arcs along the upper periphery, translating as 'The welfare of the brother peoples,' a motto referencing the union of Sweden and Norway. A beaded border frames the entire composition.
