Reverse description Central field features the mint and regnal year inscription rendered in elaborate Nasta'liq calligraphy, enclosed within a decorative cartouche or ogival frame with foliate cusps, typical of Qajar Tabriz mint issues. The legend reads 'Zarb Dar al-Saltana Tabriz' (Struck at the Seat of the Sultanate, Tabriz) with the Hijri date 1212 displayed prominently in the lower portion of the field. A border of small pellets or beads runs around the inner circumference of the coin. The overall composition reflects the distinctive artistic conventions of the Tabriz mint workshop under early Fath Ali Shah.
