Obverse description Central field bearing the royal Persian legend in elegant Nasta'liq script, reading 'al-Sultan ibn al-Sultan Fath Ali Shah Qajar', arranged in two registers across the coin's face. The inscription is framed by a decorative floral and foliate border featuring stylized blossoms and scrolling vine motifs rendered in high relief. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, characteristic of Qajar hammered coinage of the early nineteenth century.
