| Opis awersu | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a bold Persian-Naskh calligraphic legend arranged in two horizontal registers divided by a ruled line, reading 'السّلطان فتحعلی شاه قاجار' (Al-Sultan Fath Ali Shah Qajar) in the upper register and the AH regnal date ۱۲۱۶ in the lower register. The deeply struck, large-format Arabic script fills virtually the entire flan, rendered in the characteristic bold hammered style of early Qajar coinage. The flat, unadorned field surrounding the legend bears no decorative border, consistent with the utilitarian aesthetic of Qajar rial-denomination issues. Minor flan irregularities and edge weakness are evident, typical of hammered production. |

| Opis rewersu | The reverse presents a richly composed calligraphic field in which the central legend 'العزّة لله' (Glory belongs to God) is prominently struck in bold Naskh script within a lightly framed central panel. Flanking the central inscription are decorative cluster-of-dots motifs at the left and right margins, evoking stylised floral or grape-bunch ornaments characteristic of early Qajar mint design. Above the central panel, a secondary line reads the mint epithet, while the lower exergual register bears the mint name 'دارالمومنین کاشان' (Dar al-Mu'minin Kashan, City of the Faithful, Kashan) along with the AH date ۱۲۱۶. The overall composition reflects the layered calligraphic layout typical of provincial Qajar hammered silver coinage of the early nineteenth century. |
