Obverse description The obverse field is dominated by a bold two-line Persian calligraphic legend in elegant nasta'liq script, reading 'سکه فتحعلی شه خسرو صاحبقران' (Sikka Fath Ali Shah Khusraw Sahib-Qiran), proclaiming Fath Ali Shah as king and lord of the auspicious conjunction. The legend is divided by a horizontal rule separating the two registers, with the upper line bearing the royal name and the lower bearing his honorific titles. The surrounding field is enriched with dense floral and foliate arabesque ornaments, including stylized rosettes and scrolling vine motifs characteristic of Qajar hammered coinage. The rim is defined by the natural irregularity typical of hand-struck Iranian silver of this period, without a formal beaded border.
