The outer circular border is framed by a beaded inner ring and foliate or geometric marginal ornaments. The mint name Dar al-Saltanah Tehran and the AH date 1215 are prominently struck in Eastern Arabic numerals at the lower margin, with the phrase al-'Izza lillah (Glory belongs to God) occupying the upper registers. |
