The overall artistic treatment reflects the Persianate calligraphic tradition applied to monetary design under Āghā Moḥammad Khān. |

The mint name 'Dar al-Saltaneh Tabriz' and the AH date 1204 appear prominently within and below the central cartouche. Diamond-shaped ornamental stops and rosettes punctuate the field, lending the design an elaborate decorative quality consistent with Qajar coinage of this period.
