Obverse description Central field features the elaborate tughra cipher of Sultan Mehmed V in calligraphic Ottoman script, flanked on either side by stylized roses. A decorative wreath occupies the lower portion beneath the tughra. Seven stars are arranged in an arc above the central device, and the denomination is indicated in Arabic numerals within the design.
