Obverse description Central field occupied by a bold two-line Arabic-script legend within a rectilinear cartouche, bearing the royal epithet and mint formula. The cartouche is framed by a dotted inner border and flanked by foliate scroll ornaments in the outer annular field. A fine beaded border runs along the coin's periphery. The inscription names the sovereign Mohammad Shah and records the Dar al-Khilafah (Tehran) mint. The overall layout is characteristic of Qajar milled coinage of the mid-19th century.
