Obverse description Central field dominated by a bold, flowing Arabic calligraphic legend rendered in the characteristic Nastaliq script style of Qajar coinage, reading the royal epithet and the name of Shah Mohammad. The inscription is arranged in an interlocking, multi-directional composition typical of Qajar hammered silver, with decorative rosette or pellet ornaments interspersed among the letterforms. An outer marginal legend encircles the central inscription, separated by a linear border. The overall design reflects the ornate calligraphic tradition of early nineteenth-century Iranian hammered coinage under the Qajar dynasty.
