Reverse description A seated figure of a physician rendered in ancient Egyptian artistic style occupies the central field, facing left and holding an upright staff. To the left of the figure, a crescent and bowl emblem — symbol of the medical profession — is displayed above a stepped plinth. In the upper field, an architectural element resembling a mihrab or gateway is depicted, flanked by the Arabic inscription 'من أجل بناء قصر العيني' (For the construction of Qasr Al-Ainy). Along the lower portion of the field, a cartouche inscribed '١٨ مارس' (18 March) sits beneath the central figure, with the legend 'يوم الطبيب المصري' (Day of the Egyptian Physician) arching along the bottom. The design is enclosed within a dashed inner border consistent with the obverse.
