| 正面描述 | Second effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, depicting a crowned and draped bust after the portrait by Arnold Machin, with the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The legend encircles the effigy along the periphery of the coin, with the date appearing at the base of the design. The portrait is rendered in fine relief against a flat field, consistent with Machin's celebrated numismatic style. |

Jersey's pound coin series, launched in 1983, assigned each denomination a different parish — St. Saviour being one of twelve. The decision to use parish identity rather than national symbols reflected the island's deeply localized administrative structure, where parishes have functioned as the primary unit of civil governance since the medieval period. St. Saviour is notably the most populous of the twelve, and the location of Government House.
