Obverse description Second effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, sculpted by Arnold Machin, depicting a crowned and draped bust adorned with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine proof surface contrast between the frosted effigy and the mirror-like field. The legend arcs around the periphery, with the date appearing at the base of the inscription.

Reverse description Central shield of the Parish of St. Helier displaying two Norman battle axes crossed in saltire on a plain field, rendered in high relief with a frosted proof finish against a deeply mirrored background. The parish name legend 'PARISH OF ST. HELIER' arcs across the lower portion of the field, while 'BAILIWICK OF JERSEY' curves along the upper periphery. The denomination 'ONE POUND' is prominently inscribed along the lower rim. The entire design is framed by a fine beaded border.
