| Reverse description | The heraldic shield of Castletown occupies the centre of the field, engraved by Leslie Lindsay. The shield displays a crenellated castle above wavy barry lines representing water, surmounted in chief by a crown flanked by a stag's head caboshed. A Runic or stylised letter appears to the dexter of the shield. A foliate scroll banner beneath the shield bears the Manx motto SHICKRYS. The encircling legend ISLE OF MAN and CASTLETOWN appears in the upper arc, with ONE POUND in the lower arc, all separated by pellets. |
