Reverse description The reverse features a finely detailed depiction of the brigantine Century, a full-sailed two-masted vessel shown underway on stylized waves, with her sails fully set and rigging rendered in sharp relief. The ship's name CENTURY and her launch year 1866 appear inscribed beneath the hull in the lower field. The legend BAILIWICK OF JERSEY arcs across the upper periphery, while ONE POUND is inscribed along the lower arc, all separated by raised dots and enclosed within a beaded border. The design is the work of engraver Robert Evans.
