| Opmerkingen |
Ronda was one of dozens of Republican municipalities that issued emergency fractional currency during the summer and autumn of 1936, when the collapse of normal banking and the hoarding of metallic coin created acute small-change shortages across the loyalist zone. The Comité de Defensa — a local wartime administrative body, not a bank — had no printing infrastructure of any sophistication, and most notes of this type were produced on whatever commercial press was available locally, often using office paper stock.
The Gari Mon reference is unassigned, which typically indicates either a very recently documented variety or a piece known only from a handful of surviving examples. Ronda itself fell to Nationalist forces in September 1936, ending the committee's issuing authority after only a few weeks of operation.
