Reverse description A short voided cross pattée extends to the edges of the coin, dividing the reverse field into four quadrants, each containing a cluster of pellets or ornamental fleur-de-lis-style terminals, characteristic of the Tealby class E penny design. The moneyer's name and mint name appear in the surrounding legend, separated by the arms of the cross, though much of the inscription may be partially off-flan due to the irregular planchet. The overall design is executed in the hammered technique with an irregularly shaped flan and somewhat uneven strike.
