Magnus VII was elected King of Norway at age three in 1319, the same year he inherited the Swedish crown through his mother's line — making him the only ruler ever to reign over both kingdoms simultaneously. The penning issues of his Norwegian minority were struck under regency authority, and the coinage reflects the administrative uncertainty of that arrangement.
