Reverse description The reverse bears a two-line Devanagari inscription within a plain rectangular panel or cartouche formed by horizontal ruled lines, reading 'श्री' on the upper line and 'सदाशिव' on the lower line, referencing the regnal name of the ruler Sadasiva Raya. The lettering is boldly struck in high relief against a plain field, with the script occupying the central zone of the flan. The area below the inscription panel shows a horizontal dividing line, consistent with the standard reverse layout of Vijayanagara gold pagodas of this period. The overall design is simple and epigraphic in character, with no additional decorative elements. The irregular flan edges are characteristic of hand-hammered coinage.
