| Obverse description | Central field depicts a frontal representation of the deity Venkateshvara (Lord Balaji/Tirupati), shown in high relief in a hieratic, stylized manner characteristic of Vijayanagara gold coinage. The figure is adorned with an elaborate crown or kirita-mukuta composed of globular ornaments and pendant decorations flanking the head.
