Obverse description A ram depicted in profile walking left with its head turned to face right, rendered with a wavy or undulating body, and lacking a halo. A tattered or pennant-like flag appears behind the figure. The central device is enclosed within a circular legend in uncial Latin characters. The style is characteristic of late medieval Gothic hammered coinage produced at Visby.
