Obverse description Central field depicts a stylized lamb passant to the left, rendered in the Gothic heraldic manner characteristic of medieval Gotlandic coinage; the animal bears a prominent banner or cross above its back, surmounted by a crenellated tower or city gate, evoking the civic arms of Visby. The composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with fragmentary uncial legend visible in the surrounding field. The flan is irregular and slightly cracked, consistent with hammered production of this period.
