| Obverse description | Central field displays a bold Gothic monogram 'C' with a pellet at its center, enclosed within a plain inner circle. The monogram references King Kristian I and is rendered in the characteristic late-medieval uncial style. A circular legend surrounds the inner circle, reading CRISSTERNOS REX, identifying the issuer as King Kristian. The overall design is typical of Scandinavian bracteate-influenced örtug coinage of the mid-fifteenth century, struck on a roughly irregular flan by hammer technique. |
