Obverse description The obverse bears the crowned royal cypher of King Oscar II, rendered in large letters as dictated by this type's distinguishing characteristic. The king's motto, BRÖDRAFOLKENS VÄL (The Welfare of the Brother Peoples), arcs along the upper periphery in a larger lettering style than found on KM#734 and KM#745. The royal initial O II appears prominently within the design field. The Stockholm mint mark is positioned below the monogram, near the lower rim. The overall design is spare and typographic, consistent with Swedish minor coinage of the late 19th century.
