| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Oscar I facing right, with naturalistically rendered wavy hair, truncated at the shoulder. The portrait is executed in high relief with fine classical modelling. A beaded inner border frames the field, with the royal legend arranged around the periphery in Latin script.
