| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped bust of Queen Victoria facing left, engraved in the young portrait style by William Wyon, occupying the central field. The hair is elaborately dressed and drawn back into a chignon, rendered with fine detail. The circular legend VICTORIA QUEEN is inscribed along the upper periphery, with the date 1841. placed in the lower exergue. The design is enclosed by a continuous toothed border. |
