Reverse description The reverse bears a multi-line Persian inscription in Nasta'liq script arranged in four horizontal bands across the field, recording the imperial legend attributing the coin to Emperor Jahangir, son of Akbar Shah, along with the mint name Lahore and the regnal year 1032 AH (1623 CE). The outer border is formed by a continuous raised beaded ring consistent with the obverse, framing the calligraphic text. The legend is deeply struck and boldly rendered, typical of Mughal imperial gold coinage of this period.
