Obverse lettering zar zewar dar Agra ruye yaft az Jahangir Shah Akbar Shah
(Translation: Received ornament on gold at Agra from Jahangir Shah [son of] Akbar Shah)
Reverse description The reverse is densely inscribed in flowing Nasta'liq script arranged in three horizontal registers separated by decorative cartouche bands, all enclosed within a beaded border consistent with the obverse. The central register bears the Islamic declaration of faith (Kalima), while the lower register records the mint name Agra and the regnal year 1032 AH in Persian numerals. The overall composition follows the standard Mughal epigraphic reverse format, with the script finely executed in the hammered tradition and the legends occupying the full field.
