| Obverse description | Within a double-beaded circular border, a standing male figure is depicted in full frontal view, bearing a balanced stack of three water pots upon his right shoulder and grasping them with his right hand — an iconographic representation of the zodiacal sign Aquarius as interpreted in the Mughal artistic tradition. The figure is rendered within a radiate inner circle, with a pellet ornament filling the space between the two encircling borders. The composition is characteristic of Emperor Jahangir's celebrated zodiac mohur series, notable for its fusion of Mughal and naturalistic figural imagery. |
