Nasta'liq Persian inscriptions fill the upper and lower registers, recording the mint name Ajmir (Ajmer), the regnal year, and the Hijri date. The field is plain and the overall die work reflects the high-relief hammered technique typical of Mughal imperial gold coinage of the early seventeenth century. |
