Obverse description Draped bust of Emperor Jahangir facing left, wearing an elaborate jewelled turban adorned with a plume, and a multi-strand pearl necklace. The emperor's left hand rests upon the arm of a throne. The effigy is rendered in a naturalistic Mughal portrait style with fine detail to the facial features and regalia. A Persian legend in Nasta'liq script encircles the portrait within a beaded border.
