Obverse description Left-facing effigy of King Gustaf V, rendered as a bare-headed portrait with the truncation of the neck dividing the mintmarks positioned at either side. The engraver Erik Lindberg's monogram appears to the right of the truncation. A circular legend runs along the rim, incorporating the king's royal motto. The portrait is executed in a refined medallic style characteristic of Lindberg's work.

Reverse description The Swedish coat of arms, featuring the crowned shield with the Three Crowns and the Folkunga Lion quartering, is centrally displayed and encircled by the collar chain of the Royal Order of the Seraphim. The denomination and date are divided by the arms, with the value expressed as '1 KR' and the year split across the field at either side of the central device. The overall composition is formal and heraldic in character.
