Obverse description Draped bust of Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI facing right, occupying the central field. The legend, commencing at 12 o'clock, reads in abbreviated Latin for 'Carolus VI Romanorum Imperator Semper Augustus, Germaniae, Hispaniae, Hungariae, Bohemiaeque Rex', denoting his full imperial and royal titles. Two varieties are noted: Her#888 with a small head (petite tête) and Her#889 with a large head (grosse tête), reflecting differing die preparations at the Hall mint.
