| Reverse description | Three-line Nagari (Devanagari) inscription arranged in the field reading 'Sri Prata / pa Achyuta / Raya', identifying the issuing ruler Achyutaraya. The lettering is crudely struck and characteristic of the hammered copper issues of the Vijayanagara Empire, with the legend occupying most of the reverse field within an irregular flan. |

| Additional information |
Achyutaraya's reign was marked almost immediately by factional instability — his brother-in-law Ramaraya effectively controlled court politics from shortly after his accession, reducing the emperor to a largely ceremonial role. Coinage continued to be issued in the emperor's name throughout, as was convention, but real administrative authority had already shifted. Achyutaraya died in 1542, and Ramaraya's dominance became undisguised thereafter.
