Obverse description At center, the Austrian imperial shield — horizontally striped and of ovoid form — is depicted within an ornate baroque cartouche with scrolled foliate mantling. The shield is surmounted by a small imperial crown with visible arches and orb, rendered in raised relief. No legend appears in the field; the design is purely armorial, occupying the full face of the coin.
