| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of Queen Beatrix, depicted with an elaborate coiffure adorned with a decorative hair ornament, rendered in high relief against a plain field. The portrait is of a refined, naturalistic style typical of Dutch Royal Mint coinage of the period. The circular legend surrounding the effigy reads 'BEATRIX KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDEN', separated at the base by a small dot. The rim is defined by a fine border of raised beads. |

A ribbon scroll below the shield bears the motto 'LIBERTATE UNANIMUS'. The date appears in the lower exergue. The circular legend 'NEDERLANDSE ANTILLEN' runs along the upper portion of the rim, which is edged with a raised bead border. Privy marks vary by year of issue. |
