| Reverse description | A floriated cross with a small dot centered in each of the four angles, the whole contained within a raised quatrefoil frame of Gothic trefoil lobes. The cross arms terminate in fleur-de-lis-style foliate flourishes, a design motif characteristic of Visconti-era Milanese silver coinage. A beaded border runs along the inner edge of the coin, and the circumferential legend is distributed around the outer field between the quatrefoil and the coin's irregular hammered edge. The overall composition is bold and well-centered, with deep relief typical of the grosso pegione series. |
