| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Pope Julius II wearing a camauro (papal cap) and vestments, set within an inner beaded circle. The papal effigy is rendered in high relief with naturalistic detail typical of Italian Renaissance die-work. A papal shield device appears at the base of the truncation. The circumferential Latin legend surrounds the portrait between the inner beaded border and the outer serrated rim. |
