| Obverse description | Within a quatrefoil border composed of raised lobed arches with beaded inner rim, the Visconti biscione — a large coiled serpent devouring a human figure — occupies the central field, rendered in bold relief characteristic of the Milanese hammered gold coinage. A spread eagle, the imperial symbol of the Visconti dominion, is displayed atop the quatrefoil at the upper lobe. The initials O and B, referencing the joint rule or the lord's name, appear in the lateral lobes flanking the serpent device. A circular legend in Gothic lettering runs along the outer beaded border. |

| Reverse description | Within a quatrefoil border with beaded inner rim and lobed arches, the Visconti biscione — a large coiled serpent consuming a human figure — is depicted prominently in the central field, consistent in style with the obverse type. The initials O and B appear in the lateral lobes flanking the serpent. A Gothic circular legend surrounds the entire device along the outer beaded border, carrying the ruler's titles in abbreviated Latin form. |
