Obverse description Central field features a cross pattée within a beaded inner circle, with the arms of the Livonian Order rendered in relief. The cross divides the field into four quarters, each containing a small crosslet or ornamental element. A circular Latin legend surrounds the inner circle, reading the Master's name and title. The entire design is characteristic of hammered medieval Baltic coinage, with an irregularly shaped flan and somewhat uneven strike.

Reverse description Central device displays the simple shield of the city of Reval (Tallinn), bearing a cross, set within a beaded inner circle. The shield is rendered in plain, unornamented style, distinguishing this emission from later more elaborate types. A circular Latin legend surrounds the inner beaded border, incorporating the mint name REVALIE and the date. The hammered strike shows typical irregularities of mid-sixteenth century Livonian minting practice.
