背面描述 The common reverse design for the 1 euro cent denomination, designed by Luc Luycx, features a large numeral '1' dominating the left portion of the field, with the denomination inscription 'EURO CENT' in two lines to the upper right. A stylised globe rendered in relief occupies the lower right, depicting Europe at the centre of the world and overlaid with diagonal lines representing the European Union. Six stars are shown to the upper right and six further stars partially visible at lower left, together evoking the full ring of twelve EU stars. The designer's initials 'LL' appear in small lettering near the lower right field.

附加信息

Belgium quietly updated Albert II's effigy on its euro coinage in 2008, partly in response to a eurozone-wide push for member states to modernize national portraits following the ECB's guidelines on coinage harmonization. The second portrait series also brought Belgian cents into compliance with updated anti-counterfeiting recommendations, though at the 1 cent denomination this was largely a formality — the coins cost more to produce than their face value from the outset.
