| Reverse description | The copper-nickel clad nickel centre features a large numeral '1' dominating the left portion of the field, with a stylised relief map of Europe occupying the right side of the centre, extending across the join between the two metallic zones. The denomination legend EURO is inscribed across the map in the lower right of the central field, with the engraver's initials LL (Luc Luycx) visible to the lower right. The nickel brass outer ring carries twelve five-pointed stars of the European Union arranged at regular intervals, consistent with the standard common reverse design used across all eurozone member states. |
