To his right, a kneeling figure in senatorial dress presents himself in an attitude of reverence, holding a sceptre. The scene is rendered in the Gothic hammered style typical of medieval Italian gold coinage. A beaded inner border frames the figures, with the Latin legend running along the outer rim. |
