| Obverse description | Central shield bearing the crossed keys of Saint Peter surmounted by the papal tiara, all set within an ornate oval cartouche with beaded border. The papal arms are rendered in high relief in the characteristic Gothic hammered style of mid-fifteenth century Roman coinage. The legend is divided by small pellet stops and runs around the periphery of the coin field. The overall design reflects the heraldic conventions of the early Renaissance papacy. |

| Reverse description | Full-length facing figure of Saint Peter, nimbed and draped in long robes, standing erect within a beaded oval inner border. The saint holds a large key in his right hand and a book in his left, rendered in the hieratic Gothic style typical of papal ducats of this period. Fine drapery lines are visible on the saint's garments, and a small pellet appears in the right field. The surrounding legend is separated by cross and pellet stops and runs continuously around the coin's periphery. |
