Reverse description The reverse features a central rectangular tablet with double-ruled border containing the four-line Latin inscription MO. AUR. REG. BELGII AD LEGEM IMPERII., set within an ornate decorative frame of flowing acanthus-style scrollwork and stylized floral rosettes positioned at the cardinal points of the border. The overall design follows the traditional Dutch ducat type, with the inscription affirming the coin's legal gold standard as mandated by imperial law. The field within the tablet is plain and slightly concave, giving emphasis to the raised lettering.
