Reverse description Saint Peter, nimbed and draped in flowing robes, stands at left facing right in a posture of supplication or presentation, while the nimbed figure of Christ stands at right in a blessing gesture, both rendered in high relief in the Italian Gothic-Renaissance hammered style. Between and below the two standing figures, four sheep are depicted in the lower field, referencing the scriptural charge to tend the flock. The circular Latin legend surrounding the composition alludes directly to the Gospel mandate delivered to Saint Peter.
