| Obverse description | Full-length effigy of Emperor Matthias II standing facing right, crowned and robed in imperial regalia, holding a scepter in his right hand and an orb in his left. The figure is depicted in high relief against a plain field, rendered in the vigorous late Renaissance style typical of early seventeenth-century Habsburg coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the central design, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery between inner and outer borders. |

| Reverse description | Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed, with wings spread, bearing on its breast a large composite shield of arms encompassing the dynastic territories of the House of Habsburg. The imperial crown surmounts the eagle's two heads, and the elaborate quartered escutcheon displays the arms of Austria, Hungary, Bohemia, Burgundy, and Tyrol among others. The Latin titulature legend surrounds the design between beaded borders, with the date appearing as part of the reverse inscription. |
