| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Empress Maria Theresia, her hair elaborately dressed and piled high with curled locks falling to the shoulder. The truncation features richly detailed ornamental shoulder drapery adorned with beaded and foliate embellishments. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy within a continuous beaded border, reading M THERES D G R IMP GE HU BO REG. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the Baroque court style characteristic of the Vienna Mint. |
