| Reverse description | The Imperial double-headed eagle displayed, with wings spread and each head surmounted by a separate crown beneath a central imperial crown, occupies the central field. The eagle bears on its breast a quartered shield featuring the Habsburg-Lorraine arms. The date 1765 is inscribed vertically to the left of the eagle and the legend VIRTUTE ET EXEMPLO is distributed vertically to the right, both read outward from the center. The reverse, like the obverse, is framed by a beaded inner border, giving the composition a refined, medallic quality characteristic of late Baroque Austrian coinage. |
