Obverse description Right-facing laureate bust of Joseph II, depicted as a young man with flowing curled hair and draped armored shoulders, rendered in high relief in the Baroque tradition. The portrait is finely detailed, with prominent facial features and naturalistic hair treatment characteristic of mid-18th century Habsburg coinage. The legend encircles the bust, reading IOSEPHVS II D G ROM REX S A G R, identifying him as King of the Romans and Sacred Roman Emperor elect. The field is smooth and unadorned, with the design contained within a beaded border.

Reverse description Central shield of the Habsburg imperial arms, displaying the double-headed eagle surmounted by a large imperial crown, with the Hungarian and Bohemian quartered arms on the escutcheon at center. Two heraldic lions serve as supporters flanking the shield on either side, standing atop a decorative base with the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece suspended below. The date appears to the left of the crown in the upper field, with the circumscribed legend reading HUNG BOH & PRINC HER ARCHID AUSTR, denoting Joseph's titles as King of Hungary and Bohemia, Prince of Heirs, and Archduke of Austria. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded border.
