| Obverse description | Right-facing laureate bust of Joseph II, depicted as a young man with flowing curled hair and draped armored shoulders, rendered in high relief in the Baroque tradition. The portrait is finely detailed, with prominent facial features and naturalistic hair treatment characteristic of mid-18th century Habsburg coinage. The legend encircles the bust, reading IOSEPHVS II D G ROM REX S A G R, identifying him as King of the Romans and Sacred Roman Emperor elect.
